My mother told me to let people know I am the most decorated police officer in Stratford’s history. She did not want me to say it to be boastful, she just wanted to let people know she raised me right!
It gives me great pleasure to announce that on December 13, 2025, I was awarded the
Living Legend Award
by the Bridgeport Guardians Organization, for going above and beyond the call of duty by apprehending two individuals who gunned down a third individual in front of a convenience store in my hometown of Bridgeport, CT. Witnessing all of this, without hesitation, I sprang into action, chased and ultimately apprehended the two suspects all while I was unarmed and off-duty that day.
One of the most memorable and proudest moments in my life, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers (NABLEO) this year, October 6, 2023. It is such a humbling experience to be recognized on a national level for all I have done for my community.
